Cantine Talamonti – a modern family winery located in the Abruzzo region of Italy, at the foot of the Apennines, known for its pure style and focus on the expression of local varieties.
Varietal composition: Montepulciano d’Abruzzo.
Terroir: The vineyards are located in the hilly parts of Abruzzo, between the Adriatic Sea and the mountains, which provides an excellent temperature amplitude. The soils are clay-limestone, contributing to good structure and aromatic concentration.
Vinification: The grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature with careful maceration to extract color and soft tannins. The wine is vinified mainly in stainless steel tanks in order to preserve the fruity and fresh character.
Organoleptic characteristics
Aroma: Intense and fruity – notes of ripe cherries, blackberries and plums, complemented by light spicy nuances.
Taste: Medium to full-bodied with a soft texture, well-balanced freshness and a harmonious, juicy finish.
Food pairing: Suitable for pasta with tomato and meat sauces, pizza, roasted meats, sausages and semi-hard cheeses.
Serving temperature: 16°–18 °C.Aging potential: 3–5 years after harvest.
