Bratanovi Winery is a family winery founded in 2006 at the foot of South Sakar. It works with limited batches of its own grapes grown near the village of Shishmanovo, with a philosophy of minimal intervention and emphasizing the terroir. Over the years, Bratanovi Winery has established itself with authentic, balanced and characteristic wines.
Variety: Merlot
Terroir: The vineyards are located in the South Sakar region, known for its mild climate, abundant sunshine and poor, well-drained soils. The combination of clay-sandy structure and limestone gives it a mineral character and good aging potential.
Vinification: The wine is made from carefully selected grapes, hand-picked and carefully sorted. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel vessels with prolonged maceration on the skins. Aging is 18 months in 225-liter French oak barrels, some of which are new. Bottled without cold stabilization and filtration.
