Produced by: Piccini Winery – founded in 1882, this family winery is a symbol of Tuscan wine tradition. Located in the heart of the Chianti region, Piccini combines many years of experience with an innovative approach, maintaining respect for the terroir and autochthonous varieties.
Varietal composition: Mainly Sangiovese, with small additions of Canaiolo and Colorino – typical varieties of Chianti.
Terroir: The vineyards are located on hilly terrain in the Chianti region, Central Tuscany. The soils are calcareous-clay, and the climate is Mediterranean with clearly pronounced day and night temperature amplitudes – ideal conditions for the development of the Sangiovese varietal characteristic.
Vinification: The grapes are harvested mechanically and undergo selection. Fermentation takes place at controlled temperatures in stainless steel tanks, with maceration to extract color and tannins. A short aging before bottling, preserving the freshness and fruity character of the wine.
