Banfi – a prestigious Tuscan winery founded in Montalcino and known for its high standards, innovation and precise quality. The Chianti DOCG series is produced from selected vineyards in the traditional Chianti region, with an emphasis on freshness, elegance and authentic Tuscan style.
Terroir: The vineyards are located on hilly terrain with limestone-clay soils rich in minerals. The warm Tuscan climate, balanced by cool nights, allows for excellent ripening of Sangiovese, contributing to freshness and aromatic intensity.
Vinification: The grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature, with a medium-long maceration to extract the classic Chianti color and aroma. Part of the wine is aged in large oak barrels, which softens the tannins and gives harmony.
Organoleptic characteristics
Aroma: Notes of cherry, red plum, violets, light tones of spices and a fine earthy nuance - typical of Sangiovese.
Taste: Medium-bodied, fresh and elegant. Balanced acidity, soft tannins and a juicy finish with red fruits and a slight spiciness.
Food pairings
