Château Purcari is one of the oldest and most prestigious wineries in Moldova, founded in 1827 near the Dniester River. It is known for its French oenological school and traditional style, and in recent decades has gained international fame with elegant and harmonious wines.

Variety: Cabernet Sauvignon

Terroir: The vineyards are located in an area with a temperate continental climate and a strong influence from the Black Sea. The soils are calcareous and rich in humus, providing excellent drainage and favorable conditions for growing Bordeaux-type varieties. The characteristic solar exposure and wind currents contribute to the concentration and freshness of the grapes.

Vinification: The grapes are hand-picked at optimal ripeness. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature with prolonged maceration on the skins. The wine is aged in oak barrels, which enriches the structure and develops complexity without dominating the varietal character.

Organoleptic characteristics
Aroma: Rich nose with notes of blackcurrant, black cherry and dried plum, highlighted by nuances of tobacco, coffee and noble oak.
Taste: Concentrated and balanced, with velvety tannins and good freshness. The finish is long with a slightly spicy touch.

Food pairing: Suitable for roast veal, steak, mature cheeses or spicy red meat dishes.
