Alexandra Winery is a boutique winery in Southwestern Bulgaria, which is distinguished by precise control over the entire process - from the vineyards to the bottle. Its focus is on varietal and blend wines with a distinct individuality and clearly expressed origin.
Varietal composition: Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon
Terroir: The vineyards are located at the foot of the Belasitsa Mountain, in the Petrich region. The soils are sandy-clayey, rich in minerals, and the climate is transitional-Mediterranean - with mild winters, hot summers and good ventilation of the vineyard.
Vinification: The wine ferments in new oak barrels with daily batonages for maximum extract. The alcoholic and malolactic fermentation take place entirely in oak, and subsequent aging in the same vessels for 12 months gives additional depth and structure.
Organoleptic characteristics
Aroma: Complex nose with notes of red plum, blackberry, sweet tobacco and toasted wood.
Taste: Elegant and multi-layered, with well-structured tannins, balanced freshness and a finish with nuances of cocoa and black pepper.
Food pairing: Suitable with veal Burgundy style, duck magret or truffle pâtés.
Serving temperature: 16°–18°C
Aging potential: Up to 8 years after harvest
