Bodegas Faustino is one of the most emblematic wineries in Rioja, with over 160 years of history and a worldwide reputation. Located in Ojon, the winery is known for its classic style, long aging and carefully selected vines from some of the best areas of Rioja. Tradition and precision are the basis of Faustino wines, which are distinguished by elegance, complexity and the specific character of the terroir.
Variety: Tempranillo
Terroir: The vineyards are located in Rioja Alavasa, in the Ojon region - an area known for its cooler climate and limestone-clay soils, which give Tempranillo an excellent balance between structure, freshness and aromatic depth. The climate is mixed - Atlantic and Mediterranean, which allows slow ripening, preservation of acidity and development of the typical Rioja aromas of red fruits and spices.
Vinification and aging: The grapes are selectively harvested and fermented at controlled temperatures to extract pure fruit aromas and well-structured tannins. The wine is aged for a minimum of 24 months in American oak barrels, then matured in the bottle before release. This process shapes the classic style – a combination of ripe fruit, spices and elegant oak complexity.
