Produced by Bessa Valley Winery – a prestigious winery located in the Stryama River Valley, near the village of Ognyanovo, Pazardzhik region. Founded with the participation of the French wine expert Count Stefan von Neuperg, the winery combines French know-how with the unique terroir of the Thracian Lowlands. The wines from the Enura series are emblematic of the winery, combining density, elegance and aging potential.
Varietal composition: Predominantly Merlot, with the participation of Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petit Verdot (the exact ratio may vary depending on the harvest)
Terroir: The vineyards are located on southern slopes with limestone-clay soils. The region has a temperate continental climate, long dry summers and cool nights – conditions that favor the slow ripening of grapes, the accumulation of sugars, aromas and phenolic compounds.
Vinification: Hand-picked and double-selected grapes. Fermentation in stainless steel tanks with controlled temperature. Malolactic fermentation takes place in oak barrels. The wine is aged for 12–14 months in French oak, some of which is new, before bottling and additional aging in bottle.
Organoleptic characteristics
Aroma: Complex and rich nose with dominant nuances of ripe black fruits – blackberry, black cherry, plum – combined with notes of vanilla, cocoa, tobacco and oak spices.
