Produced by Better Half – a boutique “garage” winery in the village of Zmeevo, Bulgaria, specializing in small batches of quality wines with an individual touch. The winery focuses on varieties with potential for complexity and aging, creating wines with expressive terroir character and a manual approach to each bottle.
Varietal composition:
100% Nebbiolo
Terroir:
The vineyards are located in the area of the village of Zmeevo – a temperate continental climate with long sunny days and cool nights, which helps the grapes ripen slowly and preserve aromatic complexity. The soils are stony-clayey with good drainage, suitable for Nebbiolo to develop tannins and minerality.
Vinification:
The grapes are hand-picked and carefully selected. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature with prolonged maceration to extract aromatic potential and structure. The wine is aged in small oak barrels for tannin integration and complexity, without losing its freshness and energy.
