The name derives from the medieval town of Avli, famous for its agriculture and winemaking. The vines were planted in 2006 using French planting material. They are located on 330 decares of two massifs (Bozalka and Rupov dol) at the foot of the Sliven mountain - on terrain with fertile clay-stone soils, with south exposure and excellent air drainage. In addition to its favorable terroir, climatic features and terrain, the land is rich in several types of stones, which also contribute to the taste qualities and specific recognizable character of the wines. In 2018, the vineyards were converted and drip irrigation was built in both massifs. The varieties grown are Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Caladoc, Syrah, Muscat, Pinot Grigio, Gewurztraminer and Viognier. Château Avli continues the development path of the Glushnik line, produced from our own vineyards, represented by light, fruity and fresh white wines and rosés, as well as aromatic, full-bodied and aged reds. A large part of the wines produced follow the trend of pure varietals such as Caladoc rosé bearing the symbolism and aroma of Provençal rosettes, the unique and captivating Cabernet Franc inspired by the Loire Valley, as well as the distinctive Pinot Grigio, Gewürztraminer and Syrah. 2017 marked the beginning of the creation of two unusual but extremely harmonious sepazes: Gewurztraminer with Pinot Grigio and Muscat with Viognier, as well as the cellar's iconic red blend, influenced by the Bordeaux style and composed of Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. The wines produced are balanced and interesting, with fresh fruity aromas and excellent structure - the result of the innovative, professional and passionate work of technologists Nikolay Krastev, Petar Georgiev and Radostin Milkov.
