Doga delle Clavule Vermentino Toscana IGTDoga delle Clavule is located in the municipality of Magliano in Tuscany, in the heart of Maremma. The cellar is named after the river that crosses it and extends over a total area of ​​over 130 hectares. The Vermentino grape is of unclear origin, although after much research it is believed to be Malvasia Grossa from the eastern Pyrenees, which spread to France in the late 1800s and then reached the coastal Maremma where it has adapted well , acquiring varietal characteristics that make it easily recognizable and quite different from the Vermentino grown in Liguria and Sardinia. A wine and grape with tradition, Vermentino grows on the gentle hills of the Tuscan Maremma, on terrains of sedimentary origin and loose neo-autochthonous soils derived from marine sediments. The presented 2022 vintage is on the occasion of the recent 22nd edition of the Argentario Sailing Week, an international competition (with 8 participating countries) of vintage boats, with the yachts Caparzo Orianda 1936 and Marga 1910 as protagonists.
