Katarzyna Estate is a modern Bulgarian winery located in Southern Bulgaria, in the Svilengrad region, close to the Greek border. The region is known for its favorable climate for viticulture – warm days, cool nights and diverse soils, which create conditions for the production of elegant and aromatic wines.
Variety: Sauvignon Blanc and Pinot Grigio
Terroir: The vineyards are located on characteristic light, calcareous soils, which give the name to the White Soil series. The region is distinguished by a warm climate, Mediterranean influence and good air flow, which supports the development of fresh aromas and balanced acidity in the grapes.
Vinification: The grapes are harvested at optimal ripeness and gently pressed. Fermentation takes place at a controlled low temperature in stainless steel tanks to preserve the aromatic and fresh character of the varieties to the maximum.
Organoleptic characteristics
Color: Pale yellow with greenish hues.
Aroma: Fresh and aromatic – citrus, green apple, lime, white flowers and delicate grassy nuances.
Taste: Light to medium body, with good freshness and balanced acidity. The finish is clean, refreshing and fruity.
Food pairing: Suitable for fresh salads, seafood, grilled fish, light pasta dishes and soft cheeses.
Serving temperature: 8°–10°C
Aging potential: Up to 2–3 years after harvest.
