The Eastern Thracian lowland is part of the large Southern wine region - the Thracian lowland. It covers the eastern part of the Rhodope collar, part of the Maritsa and Tundzha rivers. Stara Zagora and Chirpan are part of the main wine-growing centers. The region is characterized by well-structured white wines and powerful, full-bodied reds. The wine is vinified in concrete eggs of the producer Nomblot. Mark Nomblot, who is engaged in organic farming, is the ideologist of this vessel for wine fermentation and together with Michel Chapoutier created the first such vinifier in 2001. The volume of our concrete egg is 6 hl. The material from which they are made - concrete, due to its fine porosity enables micro-oxygenation of the wine. It is also a very good insulator and the temperature inside the vessel is not affected by the environment. It has been proven that the temperature at the bottom of the vessel and in its uppermost part has a difference of a maximum of 1⚬ C and it is maintained for a long period of time. The shape of an egg creates prerequisites for movement of the fine sediment in the wine. Fermentation in a concrete egg proceeds slowly, long and calmly. Alexandra BETON EGG Chardonnay is a wine of great length and structure. The concrete preserves and expresses the characteristics of the Chardonnay variety. Because of its neutrality, it emphasizes the minerality of this wine, initiated by the distinctive terroir of the Rakitnica vineyard with its highly carbonated soils, exposure and climate. Long, structured body, pronounced minerality and varietal. This wine pairs well with vegetarian dishes, pork and poultry dishes.
