Sintika Winery is located near the town of Sandanski and has its own vineyards at the foot of the Pirin Mountains. The region is distinguished by a favorable Mediterranean climate and rich soil structure, which allows the creation of elegant and full-bodied wines with a pronounced character.
Varietal composition: Chardonnay
Terroir: The vineyards are located on sandy-cinnamon soils with good drainage and mineral composition. The warm climate with many sunny days and cool nights promotes the full ripening of the grapes and the development of balanced sugars and acids.
Vinification: The grapes are hand-picked and passed through a sorting line. After cold maceration, the juice ferments in new and used oak barrels, with batonnage also applied to enhance the texture. Aging lasts about 6 months on the fine lees.
Organoleptic characteristics
Aroma: Rich nose with notes of toasted bread, vanilla, baked peach and nuts.
Taste: Structured and creamy body with balanced freshness and a long, buttery finish with hints of ripe pear and spices.
Food pairing: Pairs well with porcini risotto, herb-roasted chicken or fish in butter sauce.
Serving temperature: 10°–12°C
Aging potential: Up to 5 years after harvest
