Prinz von Hessen is a prestigious German winery located in the Rheingau region, known for its exceptional wines, mainly produced from the Riesling grape variety. The winery combines traditional winemaking methods with innovation, allowing it to create wines of high quality and character that reflect the region's terroir.
Variety: Riesling (100%)
Terroir: The vineyards are located in the Rheingau region, with soils that are mainly calcareous and layered, providing excellent drainage. The climate is temperate continental, with significant temperature amplitudes between day and night, which creates ideal conditions for the grapes to ripen slowly and preserve their freshness and aroma.
Vinification: The grapes are harvested by hand and undergo fermentation at a controlled temperature in steel tanks. The wine is not aged in oak barrels to preserve the purity and intensity of the Riesling aroma and taste. The "Trocken" process ensures minimal sweetness and emphasizes the dry character of the wine.
