Produced by Santa Margherita, a renowned Italian winery founded in 1935 in the Veneto region. Santa Margherita is known for its modern approach to winemaking and for putting Italian Pinot Grigio on the world stage. The Valdadige DOC wine reflects the winery's philosophy - elegance, purity of taste and respect for the terroir.
Varietal composition: 100% Pinot Grigio
Terroir: The vineyards are located in the Valdadige DOC area, located between the Alps and the Adige River Valley, in northeastern Italy (Trentino-Alto Adige and partly Veneto). The hilly terrain, calcareous-clay soils and cool alpine climate create ideal conditions for Pinot Grigio with a pronounced freshness and minerality.
Vinification: The grapes are machine-harvested in the early morning hours to preserve the aromas. After careful pressing and fermentation at low temperature in stainless steel tanks, the wine is briefly aged on the fine lees to add texture and freshness. No oak is used to emphasize the purity of the variety.
Organoleptic characteristics
Aroma: Subtle but intense aromas of green apple, pear, white peach and citrus peel, with light floral nuances.
