Livio Felluga is one of the most prestigious wineries in Friuli, founded in the mid-20th century by the eponymous pioneer of modern winemaking in the region. The winery is located among the hills of Colli Orientali, where tradition and innovation combine to create some of the most exquisite white wines in Italy.
Grape variety: 100% Pinot Grigio
Terroir: The vineyards are located in the hilly part of eastern Friuli, on the so-called "ponca" - a mixture of marl and sandstone with good drainage. The area is characterized by a temperate climate, influenced by the Adriatic Sea and the Alps, which helps to balance ripening and develop aromatic complexity.
Vinification: The grapes are harvested by hand, then subjected to a delicate pressing. Fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature in stainless steel tanks. The wine ages for several months on the fine lees, with periodic stirring, for additional softness and structure.
Organoleptic characteristics
Aroma: Complex and delicate nose with notes of pear, white peach, quince, dried flowers and almond.
Taste: Harmonious and voluminous, with a fine structure, well-integrated acidity and a mineral aftertaste.
Food pairing: Ideal with fish antipasti, veal carpaccio, vegetable frittatas or risotto with porcini mushrooms.
Serving temperature: 10°–12°C
Aging potential: Up to 4 years after harvest
