Soaleiro is one of the most respected wineries in the Vinho Verde region of Portugal, known for its high-quality white wines made from local varieties. The winery combines traditional methods with innovation in winemaking, which ensures a distinctive taste and character.
Varieties: Loreiro, Alvarinho
Terroir: The vineyards are located in the Vinho Verde region, on the northwest coast of Portugal, with soils that are mainly clay and limestone. The climate is temperate oceanic, with influences from the Atlantic Ocean, which creates conditions for the grapes to ripen slowly and retain their freshness.
Vinification: The grapes are harvested by hand and undergo fermentation at a controlled temperature in steel tanks. The wine is not aged in oak barrels to preserve the freshness and aroma of the Loreiro and Alvarinho varieties.
Organoleptic characteristics
Color: Light golden yellow with greenish hues.
Aroma: Fresh and intense, with notes of citrus, peach, apple and light herbaceous aromas.
Taste: Light to medium body with high acidity, giving the wine a crisp and refreshing structure. The taste is fruity and intense with a mineral aftertaste.
Food pairing: Suitable for seafood, oysters, fish dishes, pasta with vegetables or salads with fresh dressings.
Serving temperature: 8°–10°C
Aging potential: Up to 3 years, the wine will retain its freshness for the first 2 years after harvest.
