Produced by Domaine Gayda – a modern and innovative winery located in the heart of Languedoc, near Carcassonne, in the South of France. Founded in 2003, the winery is fully oriented towards organic farming, manual vineyard work and sustainable production. Domaine Gayda wines are distinguished by their terroir character, freshness and precision. La Minuette is their fine and elegant rosé, named after a rare rose variety grown on the estate.
Varietal composition: Syrah, Grenache, Sensault
Terroir: The vineyards are located at the foot of the Pyrenees in the IGP Pays d’Oc – an area known for its diverse terroir and strong sunshine. The soils are calcareous-clayey with good drainage. The climate is Mediterranean with cool winds, which contributes to the slow and even ripening of the grapes.
Vinification: Organic certified wine. The grapes are hand-picked and undergo precise sorting. After a light pressing, fermentation at low temperature in stainless steel tanks to preserve freshness and aromas. No oak is used to emphasize the elegant fruity character of the wine.
Organoleptic characteristics
Aroma: Delicate nose with subtle notes of white peach, strawberry, cranberry, rose and citrus peel. Aromatic profile typical of a southern French “Provence” style rosé.
Taste: Fresh, dry and extremely elegant wine with tight acidity, mineral back and a clean, long finish. Excellent harmony between fruit and structure.
