TRE celebrates its three grape varieties Sangiovese, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, as well as its three Tuscan vineyards: Maremma, Castellina and Rada (the last two in Chianti).
Variety: 70% Sangiovese - 70%, + 15% Merlot + 15% Cabernet Sauvignon
Soils: Castellina - clayey; Rada - medium texture with a rocky skeleton; Maremma: sandy-clayey (2/3 sand and 1/2 silt and clay)
Climate/microclimate: in Chianti: continental climate with cold winters (temperatures below 0° C) and very hot summers; Maremma: Mediterranean climate with very hot summers and very mild winters.

Vinification: fermentation up to 18 days, fermentation temperature 30-32°.

This well-structured, medium-bodied wine is aged for 12 months before bottling - 2/3 in used large barrels called tonneaux (a tonneau /plural tonneaux is a specific barrel used in western France, especially in the Bordeaux region, for storing and maturing wines) and 1/3 in concrete tanks. Bottle aging for several months.
This elegant, well-structured cuvée offers plenty of drinking pleasure now or later and goes well with any cuisine.
A soft and juicy red wine with plums, chocolate and hints of orange peel. Medium-bodied. Fresh on the finish.
Ideal with: pasta and rice dishes, white roast or sautéed meat, poultry, baked fish or grilled.
