The Isle of Harris Whisky 'The Hearach' (Gaelic for a resident of Harris) is distilled, matured and bottled entirely on the island. The water the distillery uses comes from the stream Abhainn Cnoc a 'Charrain, which runs over the oldest rock on earth. With the Highlands bordering to the east and the wild, open Atlantic to the west, the Isle of Harris distillery is one of the most remote distilleries in Scotland.

The Isle of Harris distillery uses medium smoked barley with a phenolic content of 13-15ppm for its Whisky. The Whisky is matured in ex-Kentucky Bourbon casks as well as Sherry casks from Huelva in Spain and is stored in the distillery's three warehouse on the banks of the Loch an Siar near Ardhasaig.

The Hearach is unchill-filtered and uncoloured and is intended to embody the character, soul and elemental nature of the Isle of Harris. The first bottling of The Hearach was released in September 2023 and bottled at 46% alcohol by volume.

On the nose we sense beach bonfires, orchard fruits, ginger, vanilla, and floral honey.

The palate has scottish tablet, apples, nutty malt, clotted cream, and gentle peat smoke

The finish is bright and delicately smoky.

Your order will be delivered via courier.
With our own transport in Sofia, we deliver to the front door of the specified block or house address. We do not enter the building due to security reasons.

For orders over 76.69 € / BGN 150, delivery is free of charge. * Free delivery excludes all products from categories: Water, Beer, Bag-in-Box, Soft Drinks.

Deliveries are made only to addresses within the territory of the Republic of Bulgaria.

You can also pick up the ordered products on site from our address: Sofia, Hladilnika district, 13 Filip Kutev Street (see on map).

Delivery time is usually up to five days, and the delivery cost depends on the shipment's weight based on the courier company's rates. Delivery times may vary depending on our agreement with the courier and their schedule, as well as during holiday periods.

We would like to inform you that, as of 01.10.2025, the working hours of Meik-98 Ltd. will be changed as follows:

Monday to Friday: 08:00 AM – 16:30 PM (delivery to address or on-site service).
Saturday and Sunday: closed.

Monday to Friday: same-day delivery orders will be accepted until 10:00 AM.
For customer convenience, orders placed by 3:30 PM can be picked up on the same business day by 4:30 PM from the warehouse of “Meik-98” Ltd. (Sofia, 13 Filip Kutev Street).
