Ardnamurchan Distillery – Located in one of the most remote and wild places in Scotland, on the Ardnamurchan Peninsula in the West Highlands. The distillery is renowned for its sustainable approach, precision in production and distinctive, full-bodied malt whiskies, shaped by the harsh climate and pristine local nature.
Raw material:
100% malted barley from Scottish farms
Terroir / Regional character:
The unique mix of ocean influences, cold winds and damp woodlands gives the whisky a complex combination of peat smoke, sea freshness and deep fruit nuances. The distillery uses its own source of pure mountain water with low mineralization.
Production and aging:
The distillation is carried out traditionally in copper pots with slow boiling for maximum aromatic complexity.
The Sherry Cask 2024 release has been aged primarily in ex-sherry casks (Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez), which add sweetness, structure and rich fruit notes. The final blending is done in limited small batches, bottled unfiltered and with a natural color.
